This notice identifies the person responsible for nodusresearch.com, the nature of the Nodus Research project, the legal status of the software and the use of third-party names and marks.
1. Identification of the website and project
Nodus Research identifies the personal open-source project, website and ecosystem maintained at nodusresearch.com. Nodus identifies the project's local-first desktop application.
The project was created by Jorge Pérez Burgueño. Its public identifiers are the domain nodusresearch.com, GitHub repository jorgepb96/nodus, ORCID 0000-0002-1150-1930 and conceptual DOI 10.5281/zenodo.21515531.
This website does not represent Nodus Research as a company, university department or academic research group.
2. Independence and third-party names
Nodus Research is independent. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by any university, research group, company or other software project that uses “Nodus” or a similar name.
No third-party name or mark is used to suggest origin, ownership, partnership or approval. Third-party names and marks belong to their respective holders.
3. Nature of the project and software licence
Nodus Research is currently a personal, non-commercial project. It sells no product or service, runs no paid plan and grants no paid access under these names. Nodus is available to download and use without charge.
This status is separate from the software licence. The current Nodus release is distributed under AGPL-3.0-only, which governs how recipients may use, modify and redistribute the source, including in commercial contexts.
